Balance

Chinese medicine reminds us that we are part of nature, and thus that we are meant to live in harmony with the rhythms of the seasons, to dance with the cosmic melodies, and that we ultimately are part of the process of life and death. The ancient character for medicine, yao, contained two radicals, one representing grass, or the herbal medicine, and another representing musical instruments. The frequency of the universe moves through us, part of the mysterious element of qi, that vital life force that animates and organizes the material body.
